Ongoing Needs In 2017

In the two years of BSAN’s efforts toward creating a vibrant, Recovery Oriented Community of Care, ongoing needs have been identified. Dedicated individuals and organizations continue to work toward building capacity in the following areas:

  • day treatment, day shelter, and programming options;
  • long-range treatment solutions for women, especially women who have children;
  • job creation for opportunities for youth and adults open to felons, ex-offenders, and those in continuing treatment programs;
  • audience specific video library, including peer-to-peer messaging.

There are many other needs in Burke County. We have come far but have a long way to go. If you are interested in supporting our Recovery Oriented Community of Care, please join BSAN by attending meetings the last Friday of each month (with the exception of June, July, and those Fridays which fall during Holidays). For more information, contact Burke Recovery  by calling 828-433-1221.

    As one who has been in recovery for a long time and as a student edging my way into this field of substance abuse and prevention, it has been an honor to attend these BSAN meetings.
